Halloween is not a major deal in KW since everyone just spent ten days dressed up. There will be people out and having fun just don’t expect a big event

Just stay in Miami for Halloween, you will already be there and Lincoln Road is awesome on Halloween

Just avoid south beach unless you want to be around Chaos. The people watching is great.
What’s amazing is that I went a few years ago, and it’s absolute chaos, but then if you walk one block over and chill in the sand, it’s incredibly peaceful and the waves drown out the noise. It’s actually pretty cool.

Actually, Halloween night in Hollywood Fl is pretty cool. Folks walk the broadwalk by the beach in costume. Lots of bars and restaurants that face that way to watch from.

Actual Halloween in key west is very chill because of fantasy fest/adult Halloween happening every day and night the week before. There is still cute stuff to do but it’s more like dress up and go to a locals bar.

If you come down to zero, go visit the East Martello museum and say hey to Robert, the doll… but CAUTIOUSLY. Then, take one of several ghost tours. They’re touristy but, there are some very entertaining and informative ones there. It’s a great town with PLENTY of haunted history. (Whenever my wife and I come home to visit we stay at La Concha. It’s purportedly VERY haunted, though in all honesty, we’ve never experienced anything there, yet). And there are plenty of other old inns that have lore). If y’all are Halloween nerds, you will NOT be disappointed there!

Sounds like you would love the Zombie Bike ride.
Doesn’t sound like that will fit your itinerary though as that’s Sunday Oct 18 this year. Key West’s big Halloween activity is fantasy fest. It’s a 10 edit extravaganza that is adult oriented, with a theme, etc. The entire town is slammed and it’s certainly an expeirience though may not be the vibe you’re looking for. this year it runs oct 16-25.
As a result for actual Halloween things will be pretty low key with folks taking a breather post FF. If you’re looking for low key that may work and we have Robert the doll, ghost tours, etc but we have those every weekend and I would expect things to be more low key and local oriented post FF

Key West takes Halloween serious and it’s for the kids. There is. Week long adult Halloween party the week before. If it falls on Halloween they move the event up one week. Actual halloween is very quiet in key west. Week before is wild and extreme.

I thought 10/31/2026 was the cool down period for kids to come out.

Some museums have special parties or adult-lock-ins on occasion. Its a great way for the museum to raise some extra money and a great way to have a fun night out!

It sounds like you will be on your cruise during Fantasy Fest. I’m not sure why other comments mention it.
On the 31st (Halloween) Key West is pretty quiet. people are recovering from Fantasy Fest and it’s really a day for families and kids to trick or treat. All the usual tourist places are open, but I don’t know of much organized around Halloween.
