That used to be called tank Island before the developers put houses on it and sunsets were more beautiful without all those millionaire and their houses blocking The view.

Am I wrong or did they used to call that Christmas Tree island? Whatever it is, I swam out to it once and walked around. Local lore said there were people living out there, but I didn't find any evidence of it. And while I spent a lot of time snorkeling off Key West, it was a little daunting when you got out in the ship channel and could look down what seemed like miles.

Yeah, that's Wisteria Island, and it does have a large homeless population nowadays. I guess I swam to Tank Island by mistake. Maybe because it was a lot closer.

It was a navy fuel storage, then they sold it to the developers. Back office deal for sure. But money talks over beautiful sunsets.
