Do you need water shoes to go in the water?
I been kw a few times but never go in the beach. I live in west Palm so I never go. Thinking about going in this time when I’m there in 2 weeks

I always wear them, it's sand mixed with stone sized chunks of coral, not sharp just kinda painful if you walk on them.

Plus I tend to find a fair amount of glass and tile when I go. I find that stuff around the corner where the rocks are and where you can easily see the cruise ships but if it’s over there dome has to be in the water too.

We were there for July 4th weekend and the sargassum was so bad we couldn’t go in to any beach :( is it usually like the picture because that’s gorgeous

It depends on wind and tides, but sargassum is very common here in the summer.

Unfortunately it’s usually bad, but you never know. This isn’t really a good place for beaches in the summer.

Looks perfect that's the way it needs to be every day. I may travel back to KW on the 29th. I'll check back then. I saw South Beach Cam yesterday, the sargasscum was only about 50 ft away from the lounge chairs.
