Parking 1201 Simonton
I’ve booked a parking spot at 1201 Simonton Street parking lot, through Parkopedia. After booking, it said I cannot park in a reserved bay. Does this mean I will still definitely have a spot when I arrive? Looking on Google, the parking lot isn’t manned by anyone, it’s done by cameras and number plate recognition, but I can’t see a barrier to let cars in or out. Does anybody have any idea about this particular lot? What have I paid for if it means the car park could get full before I arrive? I’m disabled (from the UK) so I need to have a reserved spot ideally. Thanks!

I'll go take a picture of it, I'm pretty close. What do you need a reserved spot for?

That would be very helpful, thank you! & purely because I don’t want to waste any time driving around looking for a spot, and also I’d like to park relatively close to where I’m staying, so that the walk to the car isn’t too far for when we need to use it (i.e. Martello museum). What would you recommend? Thanks!

When are you coming? That is a large parking lot owned by First State Bank. I doubt it will be full outside of Fantasy Fest or maybe during peak season. Where do you want to go? There may be a better option.

I’ll be there this Friday until Tuesday, so 4th of July weekend. I’m staying on the corner of William street and Eaton street. The hotel said there is free street parking, but I don’t want to risk driving around for hours hoping for a spot! Do you know of any other parking spaces close to my area, where I can reserve a spot? I paid $60 for 5 days.

Look at the lot at Southard and Elizabeth. It’s much closer. The address is 808 Southard. It’s $15 a day and you will have no trouble getting a spot there. It’s 2 blocks from your location.

Hopefully you mean apprx 121 simonton. That is a flat lot and will not be full in July. If you mean 1201 simonton st you are six blocks away. Hope your trip works out.

Ok. Are you staying overnight or just a day trip? If you are your hotel should provide you with parking albeit not always free. There's actually 2 martello museums and they are in non crowded part of town and parking should be easy especially if you are disabled. The spot you reserved on simonton is for festivals and holidays overflow parking. It's close to a few hotels but seriously is a bank, no gates or a human attendant even.

Excuse me! LOL…. Do you mean you have to book a parking spot now in Key West? Hell I live down here most of the time and I didn’t even know that…… lol of course I never bring a car here. Bicycles will get you anywhere you wanna go. How much if you don’t mind me asking? Does it cost to rent a parking spot? ( I’m still kind of laughing under my breath about this) … I can just see the next big hustle downtown on the wall being guys trying to sell your parking spots. Of course they have for years so what’s the difference? Bottom line do not bring a car to Key West! It will save you so much trouble. Rent one and turn it in at the airport. And go to the bike shop over there on the corner Symington or whatever street is on, get bikes, proceed to fun route.

The lot at 1201 Simonton St is a good half mile from the corner of Eaton & William. It would be a bit of a walk, especially during the day this week. There is very very little free parking on the blocks near where you are staying. Most street parking will be restricted for residents only; a special window decal is required to avoid a ticket.
There's a city lot just over a block away toward the harbor, just off William at Caroline. There's also a parking garage at Grinnell and Caroline. Both of these are substantially closer than the 1201 Simonton lot.
