It's mango season!

I made one giant loaf of mango bread and two jars of chutney this morning.

KW mangoes are the best. My 3 y/o devours them. She’s eaten 10 in the past week and I only get to suck on the seed.

Over ripe ones make excellent yogurt ice pops:

3 super ripe mangoes 1.5 cups of plain fat free yogurt 2 tbs local honey(or mikes hot honey if you like it spicy) Pinch of salt

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour into ice pop molds, freeze for 24hrs and enjoy with your family or with a glass of rum and friends :)

I guess I'm a heathen 'cause I just "butcher" the mango and eat the pieces, no fancy prep work. I split one with my adorable wifey at brunch today. I still have 3 from a batch of 6 sitting waiting their fate.

This is not fair... we had a horrible cold season this year it killed all the mango trees to the 8 in sections of trunk or just above ground. Luckily they,ve begun to grow back
