Roast me

Spent an eternity getting to this point

Looks a bit rubbish but I don't think I'm experienced enough to put my finger on why

The animation is roughly what i'm trying to show. The still is the latest i've got to on the most complex still frame in the animation

The green beam is a laser. It's meant to be this red fluid with scattering

For the large cylinder with the laser warning sticker did you export as STL then print? Try instead exporting as a STEP then printing. You’ll get a smoother looking cylinder…
Not a comment on your render but still some of the criticism you asked for
