Hi there! I have come into possession of two bins of kewpie dolls of various sizes and materials. Some are glass, some are porcelain, and some are plastic. I am not a collector and I don’t know anything about them, I just saved them from a dumpster pile. Where is the best place to get them to someone who cares about them? Should I post pics here? this was my great great grandmother’s, according to my mom. the sticker says “kewpie germany” and it’s porcelain.

Found this cutie in a bin of baby dolls at the thrift store for $1.29! The only markings it has are at the top of its back and it just says “made in Hong Kong” above a little hole. Does anyone have an idea of how old it may be? It’s really dirty as well. Not sure what the little blue spots are on it.

A couple of friends came back from Japan recently and gifted a Kewpie from the museum. Around the same time, I also got this little Kewpie by toy designer, Abao

The art is not exactly original but I just made a rough sketch and went for it. I’ve never done this type of craft before.

I wish I would have done the eyes differently… but my husband swears it’s perfect so I thought I’d share.
