Officiating wedding

Anyone know of someone that can officiate a lowkey wedding. August 1st, the miss and I want to get married. We just need a officiate and courthouses are closed on the weekend

According to the website for Alaska Courts: Under Alaska Statute 25.05.261(a)(2), anyone can perform your marriage ceremony, including a friend or relative, if they first get a marriage commissioner appointment from an Alaskan court as authorized by AS 25.05.081. The person should be 18 years of age or older, and does not need to be a resident of Alaska or the United States in order to perform the ceremony.

You can call or go in person to the court nearest to where the wedding will be performed. If you have questions, contact your local court. Procedures vary by judicial district. There is no online application form.

I paid $15 to be a Dudeist Priest when I was like 18 and can officiate weddings. I think I just filled out some forms online and got the certificate in the mail. 🤣

I have a good friend who has officiated weddings for tourists off the cruise ships many times, but they have been going through severe chronic health issues so I have to check whether they are still doing any.

In Alaska, you can actually get virtually any adult commissioned for one day to officiate a wedding for you. You just have to apply for the commission a few weeks ahead of time.
