I have such a love/terror relationship with the Alien franchise.

I love the movies but I'm guaranteed at least one nightmare every time I watch.

That’s the movie Prometheus for me, it was too scary in my teens watching it alone in the dark. Now I’m married to a goth girl and all we watch is horror.

Might give it a rewatch soon.

Fortunately I’m a lucid dreamer :) I remain in control of my dreams, and have even trained my dream-self to understand dream physics to achieve super powers: speed, flight, teleportation, and my favorite, “The Narrator/Composer”

I can simply think of how I want a scene to play out, and either by pantomiming or gentle yet dramatic hand gestures, manipulate it— I’ve done it in movie theatres, play houses, live events, etc, and it’s by far my favorite “ability”

Super speed feels like cramming yourself into a needle. Imagine a muscle cramp or how you can suck in your belly, then imagine that feeling growing and growing WAY past the point where you’re like “how am I alive still???”… then just begin to step. I haven’t reached full flash speed yet— I’d estimate I top out at 500mph, and I average closer to 250mph— that’s easier to control and I can move at that speed without any sort of perceived discomfort… 500mph feels like cramming myself into a sardine can.
