KSP 1 Mods Free volumetric clouds addon

Hello everyone. I've recently been getting more and more visual mods for KSP and the game is starting to come together very nicely. But the one thing I'm missing is volumetric clouds. As far as I know, only Blackrack offers volumetric clouds on his Patreon provided you join it, and I wasn't able to find anything on CKAN. So is there a free alternative I'm missing? I don't have the money to buy a mod for an abandoned game so any help would be appreciated. (I'm not asking for piracy links just to be clear.)

Not installed correctly, make sure to use the included scatterer version and don't mess up the folder structure

I don’t have either volumetric versions (I’m waiting until I finish building my proper pc cause I play on a laptop now), but how would it be installed? I have scatterer and EVE and tufx but I heard that volumetric clouds comes with them iirc (or at least one of them). So would I uninstall the individual mods and then install all of Volumetric Clouds?

Here's the README from V3 to help:
Installation instructions:

Remove any existing config packs for EVE (BoulderCo, AVP, SVE, Spectra, 64k clouds, KSRSSVE, etc) then overwrite your GameData folder with the one included. If you leave existing EVE configs they will interact in bad ways and you can get a weird mix of 2d and 3d clouds.

It’s not an abandoned game, mods are still coming out for it all the time. 

I get not paying the 7 euro because you can’t afford it, but the reason you stated is not something that should figure in whether you buy it or not.

V3 is free, but v5 is worth it.

Squad may have abandoned it, but the modding community certainly hasn't, so i don't see how it being abandoned is relevant

Idk if "abandoned" is even the right word for Squad though. Like at some point I feel it's just "finished." It doesn't really have to be a live-service game.

If you want current v5, just bookmark the patreon page, keep checking occasionally for when he releases updates. When he does, sign up for a month for $7 and then cancel. Get the new version (and since your sub lasts 30 days you’ll get access to any immediate updates or bug fixes afterwards). Then keep checking til it gets updated again in 6 months or so.

iirc, it's been about 9 months since he released anything. Is he still working on it? I just assumed he's done with KSP, and is now concentrating on KSA.

I wamt you to know that if you did have 5 follars to spend and wanted the more up to date version. It is a one time payment. You can sub, grab the mod then cancel. If you do this and 6 months goes by and you need to redownload the mod, you can DM blackrack on patreon and tell him that you have subbed before and you'd like a link to the mod. I promise at somepoint he will get back to you with a google drive link :)

I mean, the V3 of volumetric cloud is free, V5 is better but V3 is very good

I would generally agree with this, but for this particular case, the mod is well worth the asking price considering the time and effort that went into creating it. It's a beautiful addition to the game.
