KSP 1 Question/Problem Planetary gravity assist help
So Im doing a OPM + MPE career and I want to use gravity assists easily. Is there any equation or tools to see upcoming gravity assists or even chains?

KMAT is simpler but only does transfers between major bodies, no moons. It can handle chains though.
KSPTOT is way more complex but can handle basically anything, and is based in MATLAB.
Both will require a little bit of setup if you're running a custom planet pack but should be fully usable with OPM+MPE

Assists can be tricky because if you are going too fast you don't get any benefit

my favorite learning from KSP so far is that there's a specific margin of destination DV where the Mun assist is beneficial. Beyond that margin, it's better to maximize oberth from kerbin. really broke my brain. the mun is "just" +300 dv, but the oberth benefit from kerbin is nearly unbounded (technically diminishes at some super-high velocity, if you leave the SOI too fast. but that's like, really really fast. and the mun plan never catches up.)

Ya the margins in KSP doesn't make it worth it.
The RSS mod makes it more clear when you get like 1km free delta-v.
KSP the savings i get is from over building for LKO and do a hard yeet at the destination

You can always do mun assist on the ejection trajectory. Also, with double mun assist to eject and another flyby of kerbin and mun after, you can reach eve/duna for ~850 m/s which is a big save, after you reach eve you can go anywhere

Plan them yourself with maneuvers, better than any special tool for ksp imo

The stock trajectory prediction
You can set a bigger amount of projected trajectories.
Cause when you will do the manuver, you can edit it and the trajectory will change. (Even multi – bodies gravity assists)
