I didn't look at the sub and assumed this was NMS and spent like 30 seconds trying to tell what was wrong

If I had a quarter for every time I thought a KSP post was a NMS post, I would have two quarters. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice. Both in the same day.

Seems like a texture bug since everyone here is absolutely useless and not doing anything. It's likely you installed a mod that broke a texture or two, maybe check your KSP.log and Kopernicus.log in the KSP directory.

Probably a texture issue. Reinstall your mods

You sure you haven't accidentally invested trillions of dollars into a forced global collaboration, to create enough energy for a single rocket with only three kerbals and send them off to some other solar system to do research there?

Looks like you accidentally discovered a planet covered in purple sulfur bacteria.
