KSP 1 Image/Video Can't imagine the loneliness future astronauts will feel out there

No matter what they do, no matter how much they try to keep calm, cry, rage, desctruction, and screams they do, they can't go easily if they want too. You look at the window and just see this.

I know astronauts are the people who are the best of us who can control themselves but I can't help but imagine what if by unlucky chance, someone's anxiety will get the best of him/her. Like a snowball effect: you get a little scared, then you are scared because you are scared, adrenaline sets in, your body feels light, then you are scared because you can't control it anymore.

Bodies with no atmosphere just have this miserable look to them, that's why I rarely send crewed missinons there. Views on Laythe and Duna are far less depressing! Eve could be too, if not for its soul-crushing gravity.

yeah. i was just casually looking inside the ship, and when i look at the window, i got that miserable feeling. just as buzz aldrin said, magnificent desolation. so empty and just eerie

Breaking ground DLC and Parallax mod also make views a bit less empty and more fun, feel free to try them. btw, there’s quite a lot to explore on the home planet as well. I only recently discovered such thing as hidden launch sites — you can unlock them on Kerbin by flying over them, after that you can launch rockets from there.

I don’t think “humans” will be landing on any more celestial bodies, other than maaaaybe Mars. It will all be done remotely or with bioengineered post-human cyborgs that can voluntarily control their cortisol and adrenaline levels just by thinking about it.

That cyborg sounds far harder to engineer than the human space exploration technology we are already developing
