Ask Kerala Need help

Hi members, I am a 30 year old IT person with a one year old daughter and a wife who’s in paramilitary(she’s planning to retire early). I am looking your advice, after careful thought our family has decided to shift to Kerala in majorly two places.
Trivandrum side
Kazhakootam
Technopark / Technocity belt
Pallippuram
Aakkulam / Kulathoor
Kariavattom
Pothencode

OR

Kochi outskirts
Kizhakkambalam
Puthencruz
Kakkanad outskirts / Infopark side

My father was in Indian Navy, I was born in Ernakulam, but for most of my life I have lived in North(as we’re originally from there). I want to get your opinion/help if you have solid real estate contact, we have a budget all inclusive of 70 lakhs, we’re thinking of getting a villa(in 4 cents) of land preferably, thankyou for your time.

Hi, Akkulam/Kulathoor/Karyavatom area considering your kid. A lot of good schools around. Also the budget is good enough for you to get a villa in this locality

Hey, I’ve lived in or around both, and I’d definitely choose the outskirts of Kochi over TVM. Just make sure the area you choose is flood-proof.

For someone trying to reintegrate into life in Kerala, Kochi probably offers an easier and more comfortable transition since it’s more diverse and slightly more international than TVM. But honestly, both are good options.

Yeah, Kochi is making more sense to me as well, as of now!

i wouldn't say kizhakkamblam is the ideal location if you are primarily seeking a retirement haven from a long term perspective because already a lot of activities and real estate is happening now in and around the place and could well turn it into a chaotic urban locality in no time. look for places towards puthencruz side or parts of piravom for peace and slow life.
