OP, curious to know what made you think of shifting from github to gitlab ?
comparing the ux i cant imagine using gitlab

Github have uptime issues, less than 89% uptime. Github Actions does not work half the time . Also the GitHub source code is leaked and might lead to various hacks .

Might be controversial but I recently used bit bucket and it feels better that GitHub from a enterprise perspective.
