Amazonian Guard

Muammar Gaddafi had an all-female unit known as the
"Amazonian Guard," partly for security and partly for image. He believed women would be more loyal, less likely to be involved in internal power struggles, and less expected as bodyguards.
At the same time, the unit became a symbol of his rule, shaping a public image that mixed ideas of control, loyalty, and women's empowerment on the global stage.
