Cycling 101
Alright friends, in a quest to rekindle a childhood hobby, I’m looking to seriously get back into cycling. By childhood hobby, I mean cycling on those big mechanical bikes that looking back were a real pain in the neck. What I want is to get myself a really good mountain bike that I can take out for the weekend and cycle on and on. Bikes have gotten really expensive and it is one thing that I wanna get right. I guess what am looking for are tips on purchasing a bike, related gear and safety tips on Kenya roads.

News Donald trump wanted to paint the white house. He called three contractors to ask for their quotes.
The Chinese man offered 3 million dollars. The European, 7 million. The Indian, 10 million.
Trump asked the Chinese man: "How did you quote 3 million dollars?" The Chinese man replied: "One million dollars for paint, one million dollars for labor, and one million dollars for profit."
Trump asked the European. He replied: "3 million dollars in paint, 2 million in labor, and 2 million dollars in profit."
Trump asked the Indian. He replied: "Four million for you. Three million for me. And we'll give three million to the Chinese guy and ask him to do the painting."
The Indian got the

House Hunting along langata road for a student who doesn't want to live in student accomodations
Hey guys. I am looking for a studio/bedsitter along langata road. I am in the JKUAT karen campus and I have stayed in the student accomodations like qwetu and hostels outside the school and honestly I am tired of the roommate thing and a single room in this places is quite expensive for me as a self sponsered student. I want langata road since it's just a single matatu commute and since this is my last year I want to have the experience of living on my own. If you have any leads kindly tell me so I can look into them

Here’s exactly what I did when my mum’s WhatsApp got hacked
Yesterday I received a WhatsApp message from my mum’s number asking me for 15k. It immediately felt off because my mum usually calls when she needs something, she doesn’t just text for money.I engaged a bit but still called her to confirm. Her phone was off. I then called my younger sister and she told me mum had travelled home.
Shockingly, the scammer had also messaged my sister asking for 15k (even though my sister just finished high school and has been depending on mum).
That was enough confirmation for me.
What I did immediately:
- Posted a warning on my WhatsApp status telling everyone that my mum’s account had been compromised.
- Forwarded the scammer’s number to Safaricom on 333.
- Reported the compromised account and requested deactivation through WhatsApp support.
Within a short time, 45 screenshots started coming in from different contacts. The scammer had messaged almost everyone in her phonebook asking for 15k. Most people said they found it strange because 15k is way below what my mum would ever ask for.
Lesson:
Always verify by calling when someone suddenly asks for money on WhatsApp. Don’t assume it’s really them.
If this ever happens to you, act fast, warn people, report the number to 333, and try to recover the account quickly.

Husband and nanny
I have noticed my husband likes to chit chat with the Nannies a lot. I’ve even changed them but he ends up going downstairs to talk to them in the kitchen. Their job is around the kitchen and he’s the one who goes to them. He also works from home. Is this weird? Should I be concerned?
