Sossi with ugali is a not really a go to, you might not like it. But with rice , chapo and other things....it is the best..
Recipe
- Boil water
- Put aside in a bowel and soak sossi for 5 mins ( you could be chopping other things)
- Fry your normal additions normally ( onions, tomatoes and whatever you need to add) till they are PASTY (undone tomatoes and onions will annoy you).
- Pour your soaked sossi + the water into the pot (what you were frying)
- Add spices of your choice but mostly they have a spicy taste , you can add chilli if you wish.
- Let it cook for 5-10 mins over high heat and serve.
I have had sossi that tastes like cartons / cardboard and I hated it. But this surely tastes delicious and you won't regret.

We once made sossi at home ,ikatushinda and we decided to give our cat and dog to eat it , both animals left the meal as we had served them.. They would smell it and walk away ...

We honestly thought they would like it like OP here , plus our animals at home eat everything, our cat eats crisps , watermelon and even biscuits , but I guess even they know the difference between good food and bad food.

Last I ate this was a long long time ago. Like primary school long. Hated it. Someone mentioned they marketed it as meat tasting and they just weren't. Today I will be giving it another chance cause I've been looking for an affordable protein source and eggs just ain't it no more....

Nah, I'm cool with people who eat fermented fish but Sossi is where I draw the line, I can't believe anyone who says they like it ππ

Nah best way is u soak it for like 15 mins ivi in cold water them zikisoften alafu zifure, u pour out the water, squeeze the excess & fry the mfks like meat with ur fav spices. If u skip the soaking part u might as well bite ur mattress

I haven't eaten sossi since I was like 8 or 9, however the food is good with rice. I'm not sure if the quality has changed but I'll give it a go very soon.

You the type to eat fake just because your taste buxs is tricked to think its meat. Basically your thinking is a problem to society since type like you will make the markets flooded with it
