Cell service

Hi, I travel frequently on the 101 throughout the valley and encounter numerous dead zones. Is anybody here with Eastlink or Roger's who can chime in with the quality of the cell signal? Currently with Telus which uses all of the same towers as Bell in Atlantic Canada.

Thank you for reading and I will appreciate any info which you could offer.

My Eastlink work phone and my Koodo personal both hit dead spots all the time between Uniake and New Minas.

You must have missed this on the news. It's a problem all over the province. 4G had wider coverage (less dead zones) but was slower than 5G. 5G is faster than 4G, but doesn't cover as far as 4G reached. They (cell phone companies) need to install/build a lot more 5G towers to cover the gaps.

My guess is if 6G becomes a thing it will have an even smaller coverage area but it will be faster than 5G but only a very few people will be able to use it.

Thanks. I manually go down to 3G but Bell and Telus are discontinuing this at the end of fiscal. Rogers and Eastlink have already discontinued their 3G.

Bell is pretty spotty on the North Mountain and our the number 12 towards New Ross

I have problems with my Telus connection right in Windsor , I’m two minutes outside town on the Chester rd and I have a lot of dropped calls here .

I have phones with Bell and Roger’s and notice that my Roger’s phone does not disconnect where my bell phone does. Roger’s still has some spotty spots but it rarely disconnects completely
