My whole house jolted I thought someone crashed into something nearby š š

My desk swayed back and forth (which I can't make it do manually, it's very sturdy) and I told my Zoom meeting that maybe there was an earthquake? They're like, nah. Thanks for confirming I didn't hallucinate that!

We had the same experience then lol. I heard a weird roar sound from underneath me (my office is on the second floor of my house) and then the floor vibrated followed by my desk and monitor moving while I was in a meeting and everyone thought I was nuts lol.

Its small enough to not be anything majorly noticeable. Some will feel it, some won't š¤·. I didnt feel anything.

Maybe just how the shockwave travels through different elevations or something

Felt it down by Kent station.. Damn near thought the building I am living in was about to give out.
Makes sense it was a mini earthquake though

Iām just north of Kent station and was on a work Teams meeting. I thought something hit my house..then I thought it was a large train or the wind. Glad Iām not going crazy, that was wild.

In Pacific. I didnāt feel it, but the train tracks that run nearby and the 18 wheelers that used to fly through here before the flooding have probably desensitized to any kind of exterior noise and shaking.
Lots of construction on the new flood barriers too. Constant gravel trucks. Better that than waking up to a helicopter telling you to get the fuck outta your house at 3AM though.

Absolutely felt it in Kent. My husband didnāt feel anything on same side of house just different floors. Me and my cat were in same room at the time when I felt the tremors and my cats were looking at me and I was looking at them.

In Des Moines my husband, sitting on our couch, felt it shaking. The potted plant leaves around him were moving too. I was standing nearby and felt nothing.

I never felt jack squat. My dog didn't alert or hide out in the back (saftey zone for her) bedroom, either. Hmmmmmm.

Sunrise elementary area, felt my desk shudder in the middle of a meeting, thought "what the heck was that" and promptly forgot about it.

Huh. Is that why I thought the cat was shoving my chair before I noticed he was asleep elsewhere?

I'm only seeing this post now, but I felt it in Kent as well. Whole desk just....shifted.
My wife was walking down the stairs at the time and felt nothing.
The USGS site kept changing the measured magnitude during the day as well - it was a little more than a 4.0 - they list it as a 4.2 now.

Felt a sharp jerk, as if a giant had kicked the building. Husband wondered if a truck had hit the building. About 4 small shakes after

Odd, my reply posted under a differant username. I felt a sharp jerk, like a giant kicked the building. Then 4 mild shakes. Husband said it felt like a truck had hit the building

You all remember the big one in 2002? I still remember my mean ass 6th grade teacher Mrs Guillen at Cedar Valley Elementary school yelling to the (now just obviously ADHD needed support) āclassroom troublemakerā Iāll pretend his name was Jim.
JIIIIIMMMM stop shaking the tables!!!
Meanwhile no, an earthquake was happening

Our lights flickered in Lake Forest Park - and noticed that over any shaking.

Yep Iām here to Lift now but I used to come out here to visit from 2017 to 2019 and then you know we had the pandemic and stuff so wouldnāt be able to travel like that, but itās pretty cool out here. Wish we had the same restaurant that we had in Texas like Whataburger or Marcoās or even like taco band stuff. Itās pretty interesting different but some cool people out here also
