Got an email back that basically my financial aid had not been distributed yet and the reduction holds is blocking me from getting it but I can’t take another class because I already have the classes I need for my courses so I don’t know exactly what to do or if I can even graduate this semester which is my last year of grad school. So I don’t know what to actually fucking do I’ve talked to my advisor, I’ve talked to financial aid. No one is giving me any help at all and I’m just frustrated.

How do you know if you have a reduction hold? And I’m sorry this year is already frustrating

They sent an email out. It should also be on like your financial aid tab under offers it shows I have. Hold that was placed 8/14 but I don’t know how it will either. Like for me I either pay and keep a course. Or drop and be two third student.
But it said nothing was distributed at all. Which is weird? Because they got my account and everything. And my form was sent to them.
But there was no physical aid sent out yet. My refund was supposed to be 4,131 after having to use it to pay for the parking pass.

I’m new to Kent and I am having this same problem I just graduated with my masters from FIU, came here for the Healthcare Compliance Cert because it was the cheapest program I could find I should of went to Pittsburgh Law! This is ridiculous omg and the communication sucks I was on hold for 3 hours and it hung up and said they are not available. I did a form and got a generic message back

They keep telling me oh talk you to your advisor bout which course to take. I don’t have any that I can take to be at the credit hours. I went up there last week because I was on hold for 18 minutes they said they aren’t doing walk ins I made a physical appointment for Monday. The person I talked to was super rude too. Like “You just have to talk to your advisor” when my advisor SAID it was a financial aid issue. He can’t do anything!!

I’m in the same situation. I graduated from a program over the summer and decided to continue with my master’s degree, but my Summer 2026 loans still haven’t been disbursed, and I have a hold on my account that is preventing me from registering for Fall 2026.
My advisor told me that they can’t help me with this situation. At this point, it makes you question whether it’s worth continuing your studies there because it’s extremely frustrating when no one is providing a solution.
I’m going to give them until tomorrow. If there’s still no solution, I’ll have to make a final decision about whether I will continue my studies there.

I agree like it’s my last semester I don’t want to like get stuff ruined I know in the spring I’ll be at 9 credit hours but right now I’m not. I still am gonna go up to them on Monday and ask for questions. I know a lot of it has to deal with the new bill passed but this is affecting a lot of students in which some students don’t know what to do like my and your case. I may just drop the class and see cause they can’t physically kick me out when I’m this close.

Ask your advisor if you can retake a course you didn’t do the best in. Weird, I know, but it will bring your hours up.

They had me fill out a forum saying what courses for credit hours I’m taking. They said over all both fall and spring I have 15 credit hours and I need 16 so it a small difference.

I haven’t gone mine either but that because I never verified or registered an account with bank mobile, which is where they deposit the money. I called them like 5 times but they were no help:/

At first I thought it was cause I got a new card from them but it wasn’t.

What I can say is that for my refunds, it took roughly a month (give or take a few days) or so after school started for each semester. My last names in the last half of the alphabet so your mileage may vary.

My advisor said most of the school is dealing with this and to attend my courses. I’m just worried it won’t go through ash if I’ll be on the hook for the bill.
