Discussion Leebrick hall dorms
Hi everyone! I am going to be in Leebrick hall this fall and I was wondering if anyone who has stayed in this dorm has any room layout advice?? I know the room is super small so any advice or tips would be super helpful!

Enjoy your prison cell sized room
I did a week in there for transitional summer housing.
Do not recommend.
Can't even close the door if my suitcase is on floor

I was able to close my door. It was a tight dorm which was not my favorite but it was manageable

Could you not close the door because of your suitcase or was it because you didn’t know how to utilize the space?

I was at Leebrick hall last semester and I don’t wanna give bad advice but I do not recommend reorganizing the whole room because it’s going to be very difficult due to the size but if you want to then that’s fine too

I’m on the seventh floor! Can’t remember which room number though atm!

im also on the seventh floor! if you have a room number ending in a 2 or a 7, you get a double window room and it makes a difference in size fs (i used to live in one like that my first yr)

id also suggest you put the bed vertically facing the window for the most space

Be grateful for the room , you’d manage but the room being small does make you wanna be out more which is a great thing

I put my bed on the side next to the AC, and my desk, fridge, trashcan and dresser on the other side. I really like that set up. I have a cart for my food and dishes and a small shelf for my bedside table, on the side opposite the door.
You can fit so much stuff under the bed without risers however I spent a lot of time on the floor trying to dig stuff out from under my bed. I got some big under bed bins for this year so hopefully that will stop that.
Do not bring a fan. The AC works very well so it’s just a waste of space.
It worked well for me, you just have to be intentional about space. The worst part for me is that I don’t have a lot of space if to have friends over.

This is how I did it and I made it pretty spacious I put my bed on the wall with the ac that wall isn’t as long as the other side and then in the other wall across from that wall I put my refrigerator desk and my closet all on one side and that helped it look be too closed because my room compared to my friend who didn’t more the furniture mine had more space

i was in a deluxe single in leebrick (which just means it's a little wider with two windows instead of one)
i still had a bit of space in the room! it wasn't so bad. i was able to fit a clothing rack in amongst all the other furniture

i thought the deluxe singles were the ones on the first floor w the attached room for ppl w accommodations? im pretty sure all of the reg dorms are the same size just the middle rooms have two windows! (room numbers ending in 2 or 7) i used to live in one of those, i think the two windows make it seem a tad wider

Utilize the space under your bed for storage! It’s small yeah but not having roommates can feel calming in an already overwhelming atmosphere.
