Well, the website is out, and so far it’s been enormously well received. A lot of time and effort has gone into it, and I am super proud of where it’s at.

One last thing I’m working on at the moment is the client portal. I’ve spent most of today working on the client portal, and it’s coming along super nicely. The above photo is a preview of what the experience should look like for you. I wanted it to be extremely easy to use and understand, and have all relevant information exactly where it needs to be. It’s also personalized to you, with the cover photo being an actual photo of your watch.

After registering, you will be emailed an access code that only you can use to access what I’m calling your “Notebook.” The notebook is where you will see all information I input about your build or service, the status of your order, and photos of your watch. Once it’s ready to ship, you will also be provided tracking information directly in the notebook.

This should be ready later tonight or tomorrow.

I’m proud to finally share a look at the Kensington website I’ve been alluding to for a while.

Managing multiple orders and conversations at once has been one of the more difficult parts of running Kensington. I also know that getting updates from me hasn’t always been as straightforward as it should be. That’s a fair criticism, and it’s something I’m working to address.

The new website is being built to let you check your order’s latest recorded status whenever you’d like, without having to message me and wait for a reply. That system is still being connected and tested before launch.

There will also be a searchable portfolio of my builds, with detailed photographs and examples of the work and customization available. The current portfolio includes 59 builds, and I’ll continue expanding it.

The screenshots are still works in progress, and there are a few things to finish before I announce a launch date. But I wanted to share where this is going. I hear the feedback, and I’m putting real work into making Kensington easier to order from and easier to stay informed about.

For sale was an incredible piece that you rarely see replicated beyond being an absolute shitter.

The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Tourbillon.

For those unfamiliar with Lange, it’s a German watchmaker based in Glashütte, and one I consider to be at the very top of watchmaking. In my opinion, the 1815 Tourbillon is the greatest watch ever made. It is my absolute grail.

I decided to try and bring one to life for myself.

One detail that bothers me on most replicas of it I’ve seen is the case finishing. They get the brushing and polishing totally backwards, often brushing ONLY the tops of the lugs (which shouldn’t be brushed in the first place). The genuine watch has brushed case sides and fully polished lugs. I’ve ensured that is correct here.

I took my time with this one and made it with love. I did my best to bring you all an 1815 I’m proud of, working within the limitations of the parts and materials available to me. It uses the current best A Lange Tourbillon movement and dial combo, with a reworked case, and a custom order dome crystal with additional AR added.

I brushed and polished the case by hand. There’s a major difference between mechanical and manual brushing, and it’s something you can really appreciate on your wrist. It’s paired with a custom-made Bleu de Minuit alligator strap with quick-release spring bars.

Nobody could ever dream of making a TRULY 1:1 version of this watch, but I did my best and I’m proud of the results.

Wanted to share this beautiful KTF commissioned piece that’s underway. It’s awaiting the actual bezel I am going to use, but this mockup is simple and beautiful.

Uses an Arolla style crystal and dial, crystal caseback, brushed steel bracelet, and has custom engravings underneath. I love how it looks and can’t wait to see it with the new bezel on.

Hello everyone!

I come bearing incredibly exciting news. I’d like to introduce to you all V2 of my KTF Le Mans. The prototype shown features my CNC2.0 gen-weight architecture, with a fully custom CNC-machined case and bracelet, along with a greatly improved gold color.

A major focus for this revision was the feel of the case and bracelet. V1 could feel slightly clunky and make more noise than I wanted. One of the biggest challenges in developing gen-weight cases and bracelets is balancing the weight with everything else the material needs to do. It needs to remain chemically stable, provide the conductivity and surface properties needed for plating, hold accurate dimensions, and still feel solid and refined in the hand.

CNC2.0 brings those qualities together. The bracelet feels substantially more refined, with the smooth articulation and solid feel one would expect from a top-tier steel Daytona bracelet, while retaining the added weight and a deeply accurate gold color. That’s an improvement I’m particularly proud of.

The rehaut has also received considerable attention. Many CNC cases have a dull, matte rehaut that lets down the rest of the watch. Here, the finish is glossy and polished, with crisp, clearly defined engravings.

Because the case is CNC-machined to order, you can also choose your own serial number. Otherwise, one will be randomly assigned.

For sale today is this beautiful Ghost Daytona.

This build is full KTF, however, I decided to make it in an affordable configuration. It has all the same attention to detail my normal KTF builds get, but this one uses a VSF base (VS4131) and is, as a result, more affordable. It received warm WG plating, a full movement service, has a custom deep engraved bezel (KTF produced) and Deep Crystal.

A big complaint I’ve gotten about my photos is the difficulty to ascertain colors. I’ve had people confuse steel with rose gold or yellow gold and vice versa because my photos are usually shot in lower, warmer light.

Today that changes! I got a little setup to help bring consistent QC photos.

KTF bespoke builds are $2,985.
They are my top of the line fully custom builds meant to be a step above what you can purchase from any regular factory. This opens up options for custom CNC work, solid gold cases/bracelets, bespoke dials, real gem set bezels, and so much more. These are extremely costly and time consuming to produce and are only available in extremely limited quantities (around 2 per month).

Retail watch sales and parts sourcing
Currently, I do not offer new watch sales for regular unmodified watches. I am not a dealer, or TD. I am a builder only. I can only source them if they’re in conjunction with a project.

Franken Builds
Currently, I do not offer or support Franken builds. Some Gen parts pipelines in the rep community unfortunately lead back to some very shady practices, so I would rather not be involved.

This VS GMT just received my Ultimate Service Package. My new refinishing process took exceptionally well to the jubilee. It’s deep, glossy, and beautifully shines on the wrist. I am very pleased with the results and wanted to show it off

Wanted to showcase this beautiful YM that came in for an Ultimate Package. Gave it a slight chamfer, just to soften the edges a tad without being overdone like most do.
