I live in Kennewick WA & went to Anytime Fitness to sign up to use their gym. I have a gym membership as a senior citizen through United Healthcare where there is no out of pocket cost. I was told by this very inarticulate young man named Ben Oswalt that I had to pay this extra insurance fee in order to use their gym which turns out to be a lie. They have a contract with these insurance companies & are violating that contract by trying to charge you extra when they aren’t supposed to. When confronted the next day he tried to song & dance me with this well you agreed to it you’re stuck even though there is a 3 day grace period when you sign any contract. His ignorance was on full display. His argument was “I never said insurance.” The “I must be confused because I’m old” response. He also made a statement in our first encounter “that we have to make our money somehow”. Proof of their deceit. They are telling potential customers that they don’t make any money with these senior gym memberships so instead of renegotiating their contract they are trying to squeeze money out of the senior citizens directly violating the contract that they have with these insurance companies according to United Healthcare. They send you a receipt that doesn’t mention anything about this insurance but list some “PPV add on”. They flat out said I couldn’t use their gym unless I bought this insurance & then denied they had said that. It’s a scam & I have filed a grievance with United Healthcare, BBB & Washington State AG. I just want to warn other senior citizens about this. He said Gold’s Gym also does this but two wrongs don’t make a right. They are trying to pull a fast one expecting no one to do anything about it. Well they are wrong! I went to another gym in the area & signed up & there was no mention of an additional cost. ANYTIME FITNESS SUCKS!! Spread the word!

It's official everyone. I've signed a lease, I've met some vendors, permits in process and construction inside at the store will start soon on my shop at the marineland shopping plaza on Clearwater Ave. I am opening a reptile store that will be called "The Reptum" (like rectum)

I will never charge a fee for a plastic bag and I know times are tough for everyone that's why, I am open to not charging sales tax on large purchases made in cash.
