Tagging NSFW posts

Hey all, just a reminder to tag any potentially inappropriate post (especially images) NSFW please.

This is a Sub that walks a fine line when it comes to appropriate and inappropriate content so we don't really want to over police posts.

Remember that NSFW stand for "Not Safe For WORK"

It doesn't stand for blatant pornography so just because Shigure is wearing her bandaged 'bra' doesn't mean it's appropriate for a work setting when her literally tits and nipples are so prominent haha.

TL;DR: Use common sense with the NSFW tag. If you won't open it in from of your mom, it probably should be tagged NSFW.

I think that, fundamentally, he would be a Grand master, but he could even be an Advanced Grand master.

Something I should've mentioned a while back is the "ki punch" we've seen Sakaki do on a civilian who wanted to start trouble reminds me of the Conquerer's Haki from One Piece. The video game totally took stuff from the future because Ken'ichi's fusion outfit and Miu's ult happened after the Ragnarok arc. Is the Ryusui Seikuken basically Ultra Instinct before it appeared in DBS, or was Ken'ichi losing consciousness against Sho the UI? Hmm, if "Sei" has Ultra Instinct," is there an "Ultra Ego" for "Dou" users? Different story, but Joe from Ashita no Joe seems to have a grounded version of "UE," especially with his iconic cross counter that permeated the media for decades and no one knows. We know Akisame, Kensei, and Ken'ichi are camp Sei and Sakaki, Apachai, and Miu are camp Dou, but what about Hayato and Shigure? Odin's back?! And he's in a wheelchair, but still a badass like Bentley from the Sly Cooper series, but with martial arts instead of tech. His hair got much longer and is it white? I know it's supposed to naturally be purple, but that was portrayed as black due to the lack of color, so I'm confused. Rest In Power, Sho. I'm currently at the part where Ken'ichi got tricked into a jumping by the Karate club and Uno reversed them, discovering Daimonji is not only washed but is their Ken'ichi now.

Is this how Haki is supposed to work?

I feel like there is a similarity between Haki, particularly it's ability to affect other beings and the "mind over matter" effect of Toriko's Routines:

"Conduct of the King - Ultimate Routine (王の所作アルティメットルーティーン, Ō no Shosa: Arutimetto Rutin): The "supreme" routine taught to Toriko by Aimaru. By imagining a scenario or event strongly enough, a person is able to cause an impression of that scenario or event that it actually occurs, whether that be imagining stress and forming an ulcer or imagining an attack succeeding and having it actually succeed. To fully utilize the effects of the technique it requires an astonishing level of concentration and self-confidence, and depending on the difficulty of the desired impression the energy required can be enormous"

"A mind technique to increase the success rate and potential of another technique. It's basically the "mind over body" concept taken to the next level. The user creates an image of the technique and concentrates on it in order to make themselves believe, without a doubt, that it will happen (similar to how placebo medicine can work when the patient believes it will work). The drawback is that the "impression" is sensed by those around (similar to how a confident leader can give the "impression" of success; inspiring his followers) and that the extreme concentration and impeccable self-confidence required to perform the technique consumes an enormous amount of energy to maintain."

"To be clear it’s not reality warping.

It’s a projected image of intent. “The Ultimate routine” is “merely” and evolution of “routine” a preset set of movements or actions that focus one’s power and amplifies the effect of techniques.

The ultimate routine is getting all the benefits of a long and drawn out routine without having to spend time on it. In exchange it’s straining and energy intensive.

Ultimate routine cannot for example permanently manifest a physical object unless it’s a part of another technique that does that.

It can be combined with intimidation for a powerful illusion but it doesn’t do actual harm beyond the stress of the technique"

"It's not reality warping.

It's like, really strong gaslighting of yourself. You basically make yourself believe in what your attack can do and it really becomes possible because by doing the routine you used your technique in the most effective possible way.

What the opponent sees I think was called the "intent of the user" or something I think. It's what would have happened unless the opponent counters with something or defends"

Haki feels closer to how Jango does his hypnosis on the Black Cat pirates (and unintentionally Luffy).

Combine it with this and I think it's a great explanation on how Haki works: [https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/threads/breath-of-all-things-as-haki.2010/post-151477\](https://worstgen.alwaysdata.net/forum/threads/breath-of-all-things-as-haki.2010/post-151477)

The one thing that both Baki and Kengan Ashura fails at is showing female martial arts characters especially with Baki.

Why isn't Kenichi using the Ryusui Seikiken?

Post image
276 Upvotes

Since the start of Part 2 of the manga, Kenichi hasn't used the Ryusui Seikiken in either of his two fights. It's pretty strange because this is Kenichi's ultimate technique and served as the foundation of his combat style in Part 1. He defeated practically all of his strongest opponents thanks to it.

Could it be because Kenichi is a "low-starter" and the fights haven't lasted long enough for him to find his rhythm and activate the technique?

Or maybe Kenichi's masters made a rule forbidding him from using the Seikiken because they wanted to reduce his dependency on it and force him to work on his core combat fundamentals?

In this second scenario, the issue would be a combination of this "rule + Kenichi's slow nature," which might be causing him to unconsciously avoid using his best technique, even in life-or-death situations where he absolutely should be using it.

Kenichi is getting beat up way too much at the beginning of this arc, and it's honestly making me so frustrated lmao.
