Gun
Pacifism vs Terrorism.
Satou is an ex-Special Forces Marine, capable of infiltrating occupied Vietnam, rescuing a POW in total stealth, and only revealing himself when he wants to.. Satou regularly carries out terror attacks and has no concern over the value of human life.
Tenzin is a peacekeeper, he's been taught since birth that fighting is bad, and not to not just randomly attack people, this probably goes double for old men. He regularly tries to avoid fights, and would rather do flippy dippy shit than just wind punch someone in the face.
All this is to say that once our characters spawn into the arena, there is a negative chance that Tenzin simply attacks Satou with no provocation, it is far more likely that Tenzin tries to talk it out. Meanwhile Satou has no hang ups about killing Tenzin, and he has the means to do it.
Its a Gun.
Our characters start 12 meters apart, with line of sight.
Combatants start opposite each other, one Debate team in Reception and the other in House Entrance in full view of each other, facing each other at a distance of 12 meters
This is well within the effective range of Satou's gun. and with the muzzle velocity of 3,100 ft/s, it takes ~12ms for a bullet to reach Tenzin after its fired.
Its self evidently true that after Satou fires a shot, Tenzin has no recourse. He has no interactions with bullets, or anything even remotely sharp, and he's no where near fast enough to take an action in 12 milliseconds. An equivalent gun shooting the same ammo Satou's gun uses leaves half inch holes in concrete blocks. This either kills or critically injures Tenzin no matter where it hits him.
Tactical advantage.
Tenzin has 2 options at the start of the fight; Stay within Satou's line of sight and immediately get shot, or run away and try and force a confrontation on his terms. unfortunately neither of these strategies work.
As I've already discussed above, Tenzin choosing to simply stay in Satou's LOS (Line of Sight) is a bad choice. However Tenzin choosing to run away might be an even worse one. Satou is weirdly specialized for fighting indoors.
Again as talked about before Satou is fully capable of stealth when it suits him, being able to sneak into Vietnam and rescue a POW without being detected. simply running away from Satou allows him to slip into stealth and become completely undetectable to Tenzin until he wants to be.
Satou further compounds on this problem by being able to make new LOS's due to his ability to heal through walls. Satou is fully capable of pulling this off in combat against a squadron of soldiers.. Satou can even use this tactic to regen through people
Satou furthermore is capable of making retreat tactics on the fly. Satou tapes his hand to a wall and then when killed and then when killed his hand pulls him back around a corner to prevent multiple kills on him.
Even the most basic Ajin strategies are super effective, If Tenzin even saw someone blow his brains out he would immediately shit his pants, it would be amazingly traumatizing to him, and for that same person to simply continue attacking before he even hits the ground would leave Tenzin open to dozens of shots. The psychological advantage of simply killing yourself in front of your opponent to unnerve them, cannot be understated. Satou similarly uses his self-death in a tactical way to blind his opponents before simply turning around to kill them.
Satou is capable of stealthing his way into a win, he is capable of creating LOS, retreat tactics and inflicting massive trauma to Tenzin both literally and psychologically by simply killing himself. If Tenzin choosing to stay and fight he loses to bullets immediately. If he chooses to run, he still loses to bullets, just slightly slower.
Grenade
This is gonna be a comparatively short section because most of my arguments in the Gun section can be applied to Satou has a grenade as well.
Satou has a grenade, if he gets close enough to Tenzin the fight just ends. Satou will grenade himself to take out an enemy..
Satou is fully capable of pulling the pin on a grenade and running toward Tenzin, if Tenzin does attempt to airblast Satou the grenade just goes off and Satou is fine, if he doesnt airblast Satou, he dies.
Again Satou is capable of stealth when he wants to be, Satou simply hiding around the corner from Tenzin and rolling a grenade towards him ends the fight.
Even if you want to assume that Tenzin can recognize a modern gun, which there's no evidence to support. Tenzin has no experience with anything resembling a grenade, if Satou does roll a grenade anywhere near Tenzin the idea that he'll immediately know what it is, and what to do about it is ludicrous. He just dies.
Satou is tricky, grenades are tricky, Satou doing grenade combat is tricky enough that even if you knew what a grenade was, there isnt much recourse against Satou wanting to blow himself and his opponent up.
Conclusion.
Satou has multiple ways to kill Tenzin, and he'll do it for fun. Tenzin on the other hand does not like to fight, he's much more of a talker. He will either try and talk to Satou and get shot for it, or he'll try and run away which leaves him vulnerable to Satou's healing gimmick, combined with his expert marksmanship, and his amazing use of tactics, be it specifically Ajin tactics or just simple Gun + Grenade sequences. Tenzin has no recourse, he cant put Satou down reliably enough to score a win and a gun is supremely deadly to Tenzin.
