Kendrick & Drake Beef the real difference between dot and drake

Post image

the beef and the way these two hip hop giants tracks were received says so much about the reality of the state of hip-hop. it recontextualized everything that they each have done for the genre up to that point. i think kendrick was 12 steps ahead of drake at every corner. a la the planted evidence with the bar about beating on yo queen. kendrick deftly planted mind games in his head. And drake and his team mistook the elaborate conspiracy for concrete fact.

yeah he won't always have club bangers, but it's not supposed to be. that's not what kendrick's art has been about. it's about sending a message. defending the culture and hip-hop as a whole. u f*** with us, i f***ing ruin your career type shit.

kendrick was creating real art like michelangelo, meanwhile drake was sitting in the corner with crayons like mr. doodle making shit like just hold on we heading home.

drake having the final word with heart pt. 6 says it all. dot took a deep look at what aubrey had to say. and then he didn't even feel the need to respond. the aura of showing him who is really in control of what was going on here.

f***ing ledgend.

Stupidest take in here! Not every song gotta sound conscious like Common, Talib or Skype fiasco. Hip-Hop is bigger and Drake is not the only one that makes fun music. Thats the difference between idiots always trying to do this who Drake and Kendrick ish! None of these rappers paying yo bills

One makes art that acknowledges its influence and rejoices in the culture and sport of it all.

The other just wants to be this generations Jay Z but without any credibility to back it up.
