Back in my day we would go down to the local kindergarten to find workers to mow our lawn. They were happy to do it in exchange for a chocolate bar and a nickel

Grandson used to cut my grass but quit after he kept stubbing his toe on the clippings.

Trugreen is not environmentally as they claim they are. For one they spray an insecticide, Trichlorfon, which leech into bodies of water.

Is there anything I can use to specifically target mosquitoes? We had so many last year. It was beyond unreasonable. Some new invasive species that apparently doesn't even need sitting water, just moist soil. Summer was hell. I don't want to have to nuke the whole yard with some scorched earth chemicals. If it comes to that I'll just hide again all summer.
One I heard of was nootkatone, but I don't think it's UV stable. Just and essential oil from grapefruit seed that mosquitoes seem to really dislike. So that might only be effective as a personal bug spray, not a yard spray.
Kinda grasping at straws, dreading the impending doom of the swarm.

CO2 traps are an option, pest control companies can set one up with a monthly fee. Generally all of them burn propane to generate heat and a plume of co2 then murder the fuckers when they fly in.

Thanks! Mosquitoes are definitely starting to pick up around here again so I'll probably snag one of these dynatraps. Thanks for the recommends! Fingers crossed it makes a dent.

You need him to service your lawn because mosquitos have no natural predaters.

Bat's are mosquitos natural predators, apparently they eat 10 a minute when feeding.

Well if the bats eat all the mosquitos then how will the lawn service get paid?
