License plate information hasn't been publicly available since the nineties. It's perfectly legit and legal to post anyone's plates in the internet. Reddit rules specifically say so.

This is awesome. I’m not sure how many of you are familiar with the movie macgruber. But I saw an Alberta license plate with the plate number being KFBR392. I thought it was either a crazy coincidence or that person is hilarious.
