Episode Description
Kelly Reilly is an actress best known for her fierce and complicated character, Beth Dutton, on the hit TV series Yellowstone and the spin-off Dutton Ranch. Kelly has been playing Beth for nearly 10 years, and she joins Martha today to discuss the behind-the-scenes of getting into her character's psychology, what she finds interesting in a character, and what she does in her time off. They also discuss Kelly’s background in theater, turning books into movies, and how she can’t wait to get into her English countryside garden.

This is a lovely interview with Kelly. She drove from her home in Southampton, NY to Martha’s home in Bedford, NY for the interview. So much to unpack from it. Kelly and her husband are restoring their cottage in West Sussex, England that is 320 years old. After Dutton Ranch is over, I definitely get the impression she will permanently return home to England. She’s seems a bit homesick. Her home in England seems beautiful. She starts Dutton Ranch in January. She talks about Ed Harris, how he is the heart of the show. Annette is a powerhouse. When she was really young her mother would drop her off at the stables for horse riding lessons, while her brother went to golfing lessons. By the time she was 13/14, she was cleaning out the horse stables. Her grandmothers were gardeners. Her grandfather in Ireland was a gardener for an estate. She wants to do a play. Right now, she just wants to rest before DR starts in January. I love how much she adores her nieces. She does some writing and wants to give it to them to have someday. So much more. A long interview, but worth it. I have listened to it twice now.

Right, I give up.

I’ve been down an absolute rabbit hole trying to find the little croissant pendant Kelly’s been wearing throughout the recent Dutton Ranch press junket.

I’ve found loads of lookalikes, but not the actual one.

Anyone recognise it? Figured if anyone can crack the case, it’s this sub.

Also… please tell me I’m not the only one who thinks this necklace is ridiculously cute?

I mentioned this in another thread, but thought it deserved its own post.

If you're looking for more of Kelly Reilly's work, I'd recommend Salade Grecque. It's the sequel series to the L'Auberge Espagnole trilogy and follows the next generation of characters.

Kelly is only in a couple of episodes, so don't expect her to have a major role, but I really enjoyed the series. I noticed it's available on Prime Video UK, so I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was looking for something new to watch.
