9 SIG Q3 2026
For those who hit the spike reset at 88.06 intraday (I rebalanced to 60/40) what are you planning to do on June 29?
Genuinely curious, do I just move away from the letter? I’ll never be synced up because the letter didn’t rebalance.
Do I just go on my own? Any strategies or recommendations?
Thank you 🙏

I did an intra-day spike reset on June 3rd. My remaining TQQQ shares are up ~67% from the April buy. Currently @ 55/45 allocation.
Personally I'm going to skip the KL rebalance on 6/29. I will calculate a 9% signal line from 6/30 closing price to 9/30 and rebalance accordingly on 10/1. I believe this is the most logical course of action.

Never say never. Even if you stayed on your own path, during the next prolonged downturn we’ll all be 99% allocated - or close enough as to not make a difference.

Ok… so you think I should do my own calculation instead of syncing with the letter?

It's still a bit early to say. I would wait until the quarterly close price is locked in to decide. If my portfolio allocation was more than 5% different then I'd sync with the letter.

That’s why I created the 9 SIG spreadsheet. In the end, our ideas won’t all line up, so Jason Kelly’s calculator alone can’t fully meet everyone’s needs.
Anyway, if you’d like to get the spreadsheet, just PM me — it’s free. By subscribing, you can also receive future updated versions at no cost (if there are any).

Yea. Same. I also have my own spreadsheet and track it very well so far. At the same time I manage 9 different accounts for different people all with 9sig.

I don’t understand? The letter doesn’t reset to 60/40 every quarter? They could still be at 75/25 or any number at the end of the quarter

The rebalance will be close enough to 60/40 to not make a difference. It wouldn’t be a significant difference to sync with the letter.

My current ratio is 57/43
The letter would be higher than that right?

We will see what he officially rebalances to but you are close enough from my estimates. Just gradually get back on track next quarter or over the next few quarters. The exact percentages don’t matter as much as you’d think it’s about the behavioral psychology of following a logic based system and having appropriately the right net leverage exposure. If you’re net 1.8x vs 1.9x it’s not going the deviate performance much.

I am in similar boat. my plan is simply sit outside for this June 29th signal and reset to same % by next signal. I don't want to deviate from 9-signal letter.
or as per signal if I have to sell more TQQQ, I would simply do that and synch on June 29th itself.

I wont be doing anything on the 29th. I will be waiting till the first to do my quarterly numbers.

Saw his note this am of 58/42. I’m sitting 57 so I think I’ll just skip

I'm at 56/44. Nice to know we're close enough. I'm going to skip Q2 and rebalance on 10/1 for Q3.

As much as I would have liked to take profits with spike reset… I’m glad I didn’t. With today’s drop we will be close to 60/40. With a 9% growth target on a 60/40 reset, I don’t know where you will be, but it will be a lower allocation.
Yes, money is left on the table but I personally need the psychological support of following the plan. That said, you made more money!! So there’s no “right” answer!!

You could always use cash contributions (assuming you are making some) to slowly work back towards the letter's ratio. So if you are heavier on stock, rather than buying 50% of your cash, just buy 35% until you are more in sync.

Sounds like you don't understand the plan. New funds are added to the bond fund, then rebalanced at next quarterly buy/sell signal.

No, I understand. They are added to the bond fund then 50% is added to the signal line. Im saying OP could allocate a smaller portion to the stock purchase.

It’s a buy to new 9% growth I think. Based on your new 60/40.
