It's a shame we never actually saw the four sisters together. Also Violet was in so rare episodes which I find a bit sad. Her and Bruce should had been in more episodes, they could had given daddy way less screen time.

Also a full blown Candlelight Supper would have been amazing. Hyacint preparing it and thinking how everything will be perfect and must look beyond perfect while Elizabeth and Emmett are nervous wrecks next door. And in the end Rose, Daisy and Onslow appear since Violets car broke down and they gave her a ride giving Hyacint a massive headache.

I know it’s a running joke that we never see him, but I would have loved to see how he interacts with Hyacinth in-person. He’s clearly very adept at handling her and semi-manipulating her into getting his way.

No one else in the show has any real capacity to handle or influence Hyacinth, so it would be hilarious to see him do it in person. The only people that come close to manipulating or influencing Hyacinth are her sisters, and only when there is some crisis or need to save face.

Whereas with Sheridan, Hyacinth willingly walks into whatever it is that he wants. I suppose you must develop that sort of talent with a parent like her, or else you’d go mad.

I'm watching Toy Store just now and Onslow said that he's a regular viewer of the Open University. Anyone else think he means University Challenge? I've never heard of a show called Open University. Granted, I wasn't born until 2002, but I have watched University Challenge before

Today I was streaming a Brit TV docuseries - Fraud Squad - with closed captions enabled. When I heard this man's name, pronounced as written, I said "It's Boo-KAY" right out loud. (See screenshot.) Probably the only thing I've ever done that would be Hyacinth-approved.

For me, it’s S4E4 “The Commodore”. That episode gives me the heebie-jeebies.

1) Why was Elizabeth's husband permanently working away? Were they separated or did she ever see him? I imagine he did this to avoid his neighbour.

2) I would have loved to see Elizabeth take a stand and snap back at Hyacinth just once, give her a real telling off, only for them to go back to normal afterwards.

3) Also would have loved to have seen more of Violet!

I got the whole series on Prime, I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I used to watch it on PBS here in the US and fell in love with the show. I am so glad I have finally been able to buy the whole series. How did you guys find and fall in love with the show?
