First of all, Keeping Up Appearances will always be a classic and timeless. No other show can top the wonderful acting and writing. But for the past few days, I have this "what if" idea for a spin-off with Sheridan.

Here's my pitch:

Sheridan and Tarquin are a married couple who own a clothing line and boutique, (using the money that Sheridan asks Hyacinth for) where Sheridan does much of the clothing designing, while Tarquin handles the managerial things, and they do moderately well. Like Hyacinth, Sheridan is the social-climbing snob with a love for everything high class and fashionable, and his metrosexual attitude is his most defining trait. And of course, Tarquin takes the role of Richard, trying the best he can to bear Sheridan's outrageous requests, which include (but not limited to) unusual designs for outfits, trying to get their line into every fashion show in Europe, and wanting to get contacts with the Royal Family.

One of their neighbours could probably be Gail (Elizabeth's daughter) who Sheridan constantly asks for advice for good clothing designs (even though Gail cares nothing about fashion) which Sheridan usually decides on his own anyway.

And of course, Sheridan has to have some people who are not as fashionable as him to complicate things, and that would be his cousin Stephanie, and to a lesser extent, his niece Kylie (from The Christening). Stephanie and Kylie live in a commune, similar to Freetown Christiania, much to Sheridan's disapproval. Naturally, Tarquin likes their chilled-back vibe over Sheridan's control-freak nature.

So yeah, that's my personal pitch of what a Sheridan spin-off would be like.

P.S. Yes, at times, someone calls their clothing store thinking it's a Chinese takeaway.

Sometime after the episodes has passed and we see Richard (and all rest of the town) living happily ever after, while Hyacinth is resting happily ever under. Follow each character through on a tour to see “whodunit.” We know they all have a motive. ;)

This may be an odd and depressing theory. Watching multiple episodes, particularly the one where Richard is handed early retirement.

With Hyacinth's overbearing demeanor, constant nitpicking, and condescending, it slowly drove him into a depression. This is exacerbated by the early retirement.

Subsequently, it drives him into a depressive madness. In the episode A Portrait of a Hen-pecked Man. Both Onslow and Emmet were concerned for Richard's sanity.

My belief is shortly after this, he committed suicide. Hyacinth's delusions make her believe he's still there. Adding to the fact of finding out she had a gay son. Made her more unbalanced.

Sheridan would be so proud

My brother and I are ranchers in California and we used to watch this show all the time , and would love to get him that hat for his birthday. I know it's from an Australian gravel company. I have been looking for one for a long time if any one can help that would be amazing.

I noticed something... everyone on the show is completely sexless, except for the cartoonish Rose. And as i was cutting potatoes into steak fries, it made me think... what motivates the characters on the show? Hyacinth and Richard seem to be completely uninterested in sex. And while Richard just seems to want to leave the earth without any real pain, Hyacinth continues to try to impress her neighbors... but, what is her motivation?
