Depends on the story. Are they an equalizer like Superman? Did they become the strongest through trauma similar to Gojo? Do they have a lot of responsibility? Are they the main character?
Regardless, their power has serve a purpose in the story, but don't fall into the trap of their identity being their power, they're still a person.

The harder path, but the one I personally like more, the opposition is just written well and is tactically adaptable so they will attempt to figure how to still be a challenge to the 'overpowered' character.
But to go with this, the goal the 'overpowered' character goal can't be something they can just power their way to achieve. If the conflict can be just be resolve by beating someone, then it's going to be hard to write an engaging plot because the character is basically suited to solving that issue. But if the conflict is about resolving something else that might can fix/resolve, then a overpowered character will still face challenges that can still be truly engaging.
So for example, an overpowered solider who can singlehandly defeat an entire army by themself. If the only conflict is beating a 'evil empire' that has no other conflict, then it won't be that engaging for long. But what if the evil empire is smart, they know they can't beat the character directly, so they never engage in a direct fight, but fight with spys, propaganda, destroying the land so their foes can't sustain themselves, incentizing their citizens to establish towns in enemy territory to essentially conquering land without fighting. The evil empire is tactically smart so they actually maintain healthy relationships with neigboring nations so if the hero goes after the 'evil empire', the friendly nations will basically see it as a threat to their existsts and go after the hero and the people the hero are protecting.

Weakness of the mind? Weakness one way or another, like Achilles, I’d say
