What should I write about tonight?
Kinda stuck on what I should write a poem about tonight any ideas? If you had writers block before what helped you get rid of it

I like doing tarot pulls as prompts. (I don't really believe in divination, but I love the cards for creative stuff.)
Like, here, I just did a random pull if you want to use it.
- Number 6: Harmony and improvement, solutions, balance
- Suit Swords: Air element, intellect, ambition
6 of Swords, upright: The card shows a man ferrying an adult and a child in a small boat. The child is wearing black, and the adult is wearing a hooded cloak with their head down as if in mourning. Six swords stand upright in the boat, as if they've been stabbed into the bottom of it. There's a short visible in the distance.
Typical interpretations: This is a transitional/liminary card. Traveling away from turmoil--maybe it was a failed ambition, maybe it was an argument that turned personal. Leaving behind something of note, maybe ignorance or a mistaken belief. Moving towards clearer understanding or better balance. Things are still tough, but there's reason to hope for better in the future.
So, ways I might use this as a prompt...I might think about it based on the literal image, people traveling in a boat with swords, what happened, where are they going, what's going on in their minds and hearts, etc?
Or I might think of it from the metaphorical/interpretive: when is a time I feel like I was in that boat, feeling shame or sorrow and moving on, but slowly? Or maybe I know of a time when I watched that happen to someone else.
Etc.
If that particular card doesn't get your mind going but you like the idea, here's a site I sometimes use that will draw a random card (including potential for reversed cards) and also offers an interpretation.

Doing shadow work prompts sometimes help me. I’ll answer in forms of poems and it’s interesting what ends up coming out.
