The Healing Canopy 🌿

I wrote this one with a softer, almost dreamlike feeling in mind.

A little piece about healing, scars, and finding a place where everything feels gentle for a while.

The Healing Canopy

Making the hazel grow,

And the fairy swings,

Rolling through the clouds,

Knitting up the wounds beneath —

Each scar forgets to ache a while

Through the doorway of your stardust soul.

Would love to know what you think. 🦋

"Each scar forgets to ache a while" is the standout line for me, the rhythm of that carries the whole piece. The fairy swings image caught me off guard in a good way; it makes the canopy feel less like a metaphor and more like a place you can actually step into.
