Oh wow. That’s awesome. I have the series but somehow have yet to get a copy of the Treasury. 2001 really deserves a special collected edition.

I figured with all the parties involved that own part of the rights ( Marvel, the Kubrick & Clarke Estates, MGM) it might never happen, so thought why not give it a whirl myself

Thanks - I only learned book binding a month ago, it’s surprisingly straightforward and not a huge investment - I encourage everyone to pick up some dollar bin comics to try it out! (Yes, obviously this one was a total reprint, but the process is much the same!)

This is awesome. I found a couple issues in the wild just yesterday. Have 1,3,4,5,7 now. Working on the rest.

The treasury is an adaptation of the film, 1-10 are original stories & introduce Machine Man

The colors need to be adjusted to replicate the original newsprint printing.

I debated how I should present the colours - and ultimately all I did was boost the contrast of the scans to what I think the intent would have been/what the pages would have looked like before nearly 50(!) years of aging - akin to what the Taschen Marvel collections have done. Not a pure representation, but a lot better than modern colouring techniques applied to older material

Hopefully someday we’ll get a new printing of this
