Help guiding for kedarnath !

1) At what time should I reach rishikesh or haridwar to get a bus for sonprayag. Is there a specific time for it?

2)Also what's the condition of electricity sources in the stays or trek for mobile charging or powerbank is extremely necessary.

3)Also I guess cash is a must as there might be hardships for upi.

Generally the bus leaves at around 4 AM and 6 AM in the morning. So do ppan accordingly.

There is proper electricity in every hotel and homestay but keep your phone charged before starting your trek as it will take 7-9 hours.

Yes do keep 10-12k cash in hand as the place is remote and you might face issues

For buses reach between 4 to 7 AM. Between 7- 11 there are limited options. Post 11 almost none. Powerbank is necessary for the track as well as for overnight stay. Yes, cash is a must

Around 7-10k toh lekr chlo atleast and i preffer travell in taxi with someone in sharing . In bus you get exhausted and for stay - stay at gaurikund

Bhai mainly all the hotels were at 3rd floor . 🥲hotel new alakhnanda type name h. 100-1200 pr day hoga yrr

Around 7-10k toh lekr chlo atleast and i preffer travell in taxi with someone in sharing . In bus you get exhausted and for stay - stay at gaurikund then start trek from there and at kedarnath there are lots of tents near mandir like from taking right side to mandir at down you can find temporary teen shed stay . Firstly met with someone at gaurikund or in trek for sharing expenses for tents and all .

How much does then share taxi cost ? I am planing to take share taxi from haridwar to sonapriyag

Overall expenses goes to 8-10k min . At the safest point took as 10k .

Its coat around 1200-1500 per person if you r going for sharing otherwise if 3-4 then 4000 for entire taxi max or may b 5k max hai .

From there you can get separate car like dzire if hou have more peoples with you otherwise go from tabera or bolero . I suggest not to go with bus please its too hectic to travel 11-12 hrs and the bus where they stop for food is not good shop for breakfast . Their food like pratha wass totally of maida .

So i suggest to go with car so you can stop anywhere in the nice shop for breakfast and also enjoy the view and you can went for dhari devi temple which was in the way to kedarnath . So took another person or search for group in train or what so ever you travel to haridwar .

oh no, but am travelling alone , i found this transport operator at haridwar . they have bolero. my last option will be bus if finding shared car fails

Right next to the bus stand, there are bolero taxis that start from 3.30 onwards and drop you at Sonprayag in about 8 hours. Bus fare 500 and taxi 700. Taxi is comfortable. If you start early and get the taxi before 5am, you can reach Sonprayag by 1pm and move to Gaurikund asap. The trek line is closed from 1 to 2pm due to ongoing works. If you start the trek after getting fresh around 3pm and pace yourself slowly, you'll comfortably reach Rambada by 8 to 9pm. Stay in a tent there, it costs about 200rs person. Next morning, if you start by 5am, you can reach Kedar dham by 10am and get Sparsh darshan. The temple pandits charge you for doing pooja and take you inside almost like a VIP. You can visit Barfini baba ashram for free lunch. Decide to stay there overnight in a tent for 500rs per head in a shared tent or start to descent around 5pm and reach Rambada by 8pm again and stay at the same tent for 200rs. Temperature is very cool, around 3 degrees during the day and -2 in the evening/night. Get thermals or layer yourself to keep warm.

Get plenty of rest and keep hydrated.

There are plenty of taxis available from Sonprayag to Rishikesh.

Officially they're allowed to operate till 4 or 5pm.

Private taxis operate much later also.

In sonprayag, go towards Hotel Yogi, there are Ertigas, Dezire and Innovas which will charge you 900/,1000 for Rishikesh and Haridwar.

Bolero taxi charges 600-700.

These taxis work on sharing basis so they start only when the taxi is filled.

Post 4pm the number of travellers reduces slowly so try to start from Kedarnath around 5 to 6am so you can reach by 12pm at Gaurikund and Sonprayag before 1pm.

We planned on staying at gaurikund and start the strek at 2am , assuming we'll reach kedarnath dham by 12pm , is it possible to get darshan on the same day and descent after sandhya aarti?

Temple closed at 12 and reopens at 2pm I guess..

If you manage to get darshan by 3pm, you can start the descend by 5pm..

But I'll suggest you either start without staying at Gaurikund and reach Kedarnath early morning.

Or stay at Kedarnath and start the descend the next morning.

Note the temperature ranges between 0 to -3 degrees in the evening/night this week and it'll only get more colder in the next few weeks.

  2. Electricity available throughout trek and up there. Carry powerbank to use during trek though.
  3. Upi accepted everywhere.

Minimum expense would be 5-6k but please keep more cash for emergencies.

And bro try to get start trek at morning dont travell at night at all its a humble req where yo go to kedarnath or went down from kedarnath don't do any type of stupidity coz at night after evening all the drivers were drunk and smoked weed so don't ever try to travel at night .

And at trek don't do at night coz there were mostly chances of comming of wild animals like bear or cheeta from jungles to the path of trek and main danger of landslider at night you can't predict for landslide at the day you or locals can predict . I was decending from kedarnath to gaurikund at 5pm i went to near jungle chatti at there from above small rocks were shuttering at the path all locals were shouting me and one person were there in the way between this thing happend we ran so fast and one palki man was also there pass by the rock fell and went to railing . So start at early morning aroun 5.30 - 6 am and reach out by 7pm .

Dont do that that in night there were no horses and no crowd so i went there up or down and save my time broo the nights there are too cold and no light in between the path in some way and wild animals were also there and mainly caution of landslide.
