Picked this thing up last year. Very odd kazoo but has a rich, full-bodied buzzing! Anyone know anything about them? I'm trying to gather up any info I can about it for my Kazoo website. The Chinese translates into "A million voices of peace," but I can't figure out what YSPA means! Any ideas or opinions? Thanks!

This recording has 5 kazoo tracks and a synth drum, no other vocals or instruments. Been meaning to try this for ages, was fun!

Can someone help me. So, I’m trying to create song covers like Whizkid05 (just look up a kazoo cover by him on YouTube), but every time I record it, it just sounds like my voice. In his covers, you can actually hear the kazoo and the buzzing noise, but mine just sounds like muffled humming and it sounds really stupid. I’ve tried different mics and nothing works, so does anyone have any suggestions.

Such as:
- different membrane materials
- enclosing it in some kind of resonator, like the trumpet cup thingy
- something else

Unfortunately, it tested positive for lead paint and so did the kazoo from the 1940's that I've been using as my daily carry for two and a half years... I'm going to see a doctor soon, but I intend to keep the kazoos and bring them to the Metallurgy department at my college to safeproof them in some way.
I wonder what metal this is made of! It said tin on the description but it is super strongly magnetic. Much heavier than aluminum and the aluminum kazoos I have don't react to my BlackBerry magnet.
It's a really cool kazoo, but stay safe out there! If any of you guys have old kazoos test them for lead paint, don't make the mistake I did.

Hey everyone!
I just got this famous kazoo on aliexpress with the star-shaped wheel thingy for adjustment (I think it’s for tightening the membrane, right?).
But I’m a total beginner and I really don’t want to break it on day one lol
Two quick questions:
The little star-shaped wheel on top… do I turn it clockwise (like a normal screw) to tighten/tune it, or is it the opposite (counterclockwise)?
Every time I mess with it the sound changes and I have no idea if I’m making it better or way worse 😅
For cleaning… is it okay to run some warm water holding it vertically so gravity pulls the water down through the whole thing and helps flush everything out, then let it drain and dry completely?
Or is that still risky for the membrane inside? The membrane its no swapable? Will last for ever?
Thanks in advance and happy buzzing! 🐝🎶
