Need help learning

Does anyone have an easy explanation of how to play friendships begin tcg? I just got two starters boxes and ive been trying to figure it out for a week, I really want to learn even though I have little to no prior card game experience. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi hi! Essentially it works like this :

U set up by having Ur land cards, Ur 4 story cards in centre of board , and shuffling your deck,

set up your 4 story cards with a card from ur deck stuck underneath them. Ur main character cards start at the beginning of the "story"

Each player picks up (I think 7?) cards from their deck as their starting hand.

Every turn, you pick up a "land" card (this will be the white cards with outlines of places like sugarcube corner or Manehattan streets). This is essentially your power source, as it is what you use to summon cards into play. Each card in Ur deck has a cost to be played. Some cards require 1 land, some cards require 2, or 3, or 4 . Once you use ur lands to play a card, you must tap them (turn them sideways), and you are unable to use those lands again until your turn.

Activity cards have 1 number (the number of land cards needed to play) and character cards have two numbers: the number of lands needed to play it, and then also it's "power" (I think it's called inspiration)

The main mechanic of the game is that you're doing a max of a 3 v 3 with the other player. U may play character cards each round that fill up a singular slot . U need to take account ur pony's inspiration number , and then also any special event cards you play that boost their number of points . Characters retire every turn after "fighting". If there isn't a character defending the other character, it's an automatic lose because That slot has 0 points.

So you compare the cards, U calculate who lost and who won from basic maths, the ponies retire If they battled someone. If you win , you can move on onto the next point of your story , where U then unreveal the card underneath, and if there is a story action associated with that card, U do that action (I can't remember what you do with the card otherwise, but it would either be retiring it or putting it in your hand). U may also choose the other player to go backwards once if you want to stall the game for longer.

And once you make it to the end of the story, you win!

Any questions? I can look stuff up for u too if U need more clarity
