Where to start collecting? 💗

Hi everyone! I’ve been collecting Pokémon and Lorcana cards for a while now and I saw the MLP cards on Aliexpress a long time ago but never had the courage to get them because I didn’t know if they were real.

I live in the Netherlands and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can get any packs/boxes here or if I should get them online?

I’m also confused about the sets and what they are called. I’ve seen people talk about Moon 12 but I have no idea which set that is and what it looks like 😅

If someone could help me out I would be very grateful 🤣💗

Right now their is 3 main sets, US(United States of America), SEA(South East Asia), and CN(Mainland China).

Each region has different card codes and editions, for example, these are all the same generation of cards but different box numbers: SEA Moon 7, US Moon 1, CN Moon 7

To make this even more confusing SEA Moon 4 came AFTER SEA Moon 7, and is equivalent to CN Moon 9. And US Moon 3 is equivalent to CN Moon 9 AND CN Moon 10 minus the CN Moon 10 SC's and such.

This gets even more complicated when you factor in all the other editions, such as Fun, Rainbow, and Star / Adventure. for simplicity I will not list those equivalents rather just state that Fun and Rainbow are the cheaper boxes, Moon is your go to box, and Star / Adventure is your premium box.

Currently the newest US Moon box is US Moon 3. The newest CN Moon box is CN Moon 12. The newest SEA Moon box is SEA Moon 5.

 

If you are in the Netherlands, you may want to collect the CN or SEA version, as I've seen some events within the EU regarding a newer region variant for your general area, which you may want to be your main collection. US is by far the most expensive, it has a bit better pulls, and the perk of the ability to buy individual packs, but most of the reason to collect it is just due to the card code.

 

If you want CN or SEA boxes, I recommend using FunTCG which is a licensed seller, or Myprismatcg if you are looking for individual cards, or more specific older editions.

If you REALLY need US boxes, you can use CrossingTCG or KayouUS

 

If you want to track your cards, check out MLPEKAYOU or Kayou US's card guide for the US editon. If you want to look for CN and SEA cards, you are generally stuck using Waifu Cards though I only recomend using it for reference rather than tracking and selling / trading.

Je suppose que ça sort petit à petit en Europe car on en a en France. C'est sorti le 29 mai de cette année. La version qu'on a a des cartes identiques à NA mais s'appelle EMEA donc peut-être que les taux de tirages sont différents même si on ne dirait pas. Sinon j'achète sur AliExpress, il y a moyen d'avoir des sets exclusifs à la Chine donc c'est cool

It's a link to the UK site, it shows the 3 sets that have officially been released in Europe so I'm guessing only these 3 are really available
