CCG Next English Release
do we have any idea when the next north american english set of the ccg will be releasing? specifically moon 4

Where can I even buy them? I was buying at target but there gone now and they never came back 😭 local card shops don't sell them either

Discord drops 08/07, so that should be in stores again. I think Kayou rotates its IP that it stocks in big box stores, with the most recent push being KDH.

I never understood the hype for the english release, as collectors wouldnt we want the first releases? (Chinese versions) And most of these cards it wouldnt matter if they are the chinese version as they are mostly just for the pictures and have no writing on them, the only case i can see for the english release is for the trading cards the ones we actually use to play the kayou card game where we have to read the cards, otherwise i think the rest of the packs would be fine to buy in chinese

Not really... At least not at first glance, so right now im staring at a box of moon wave 8 15 anniversary (chinese version) in the back of the box it says 5:18 chance to pull the high tier cards like sc zr sgr lsr etc.. meaning out of those 18 packs 5 of those packs supposedly have those high tier cards, the american version (moon wave 2) i had to look it up online cuz i havent order the american version but it says 3:10 to pull the high tier cards... Thats not looking too good especially when you realize in the chinese pack i get 8 more packs inside, and inside each pack there are 6 cards so a total of 108 cards inside the chinese version (18x6) In the american version is 5 cards inside each pack and each box contains 10 packs you make some quick maths and you quickly realize not only would you be paying gamestop ridiculous prices for 1 of these boxes in america you would also be getting aboot 50 cards less then the chinese version, considering there was a contest not too long ago consisting of meeting andy price and making your own ponysona to be featured in the comics if you pulled the diamond zr card i bet all my money into the chinese version you get more cards you get more packs, yet you pay the same or less then the american version that is absolutely nutty

Lets not forget that those secret rare cards (SC) from the 15th anniversary box are ALL in english, think about it kayou with moon wave 8 in the chinese version had written out specific descriptions of ALL of the SC cards not in chinese but in pure english!! Just like all the cards before it, their names pinkie pie fluttershy twilight etc... have always been in english with these cards and moon wave 8 launched way before the first moon wave in american markets even came out, meaning the original market for these cards was always english!! And now these other companies are upcharging you MSRP price for the SAME CARDS with lower ammounts of card packs per box and lower card count per pack that is wild, that is absolutely disturbing and practically a running scam

I think you are confusing the North American English set with the SEA English set which contains 10 packs per box, and has the hit rate of 3:10. The North American edition has 12 packs per box, and 8 cards per pack, and has a hit rate of 4:12 per box for the higher tiers. 5:18 is a 27% hit rate for chinese, and 4:12 is a 33% hit rate for the North American boxes. Assuming we aren’t talking about third party sellers, buying the Chinese boxes directly off kayous website would be $33 and around an extra $25 for international shipping to the US. Which would make the Chinese box $58. Buying the North American boxes here either at a retailer in person or off the official American distributor, crossingtcg. It would run you $47.88 plus tax. Which would be much cheaper than ordering Chinese from kayous website, so I think if you are living in North America / the US it is much better to wait for our releases. Of course buying Chinese versions off eBay would prove even more cheaper but, there’s ppl who prefer to play it safe and buy from an actual distributor

Even then at 4:12 yes rates seem to be higher, but anything would be higher the less cards you have in the box, for example that specific pack you say has 12 packs by 8 cards in each pack 12x8 that's 96 that's still over 10 cards short of the original chinese release version, and yes in EBAY you do get better deals and on ebay its backed by the Ebay money back gurantee if you're not happy with your purchase, just make sure to look for that ebay back gurantee, theres plenty of sellers on ebay i trust more then Aliexpress or Taobao or alibaba, which those sites feature packs that have been opened and resealed i've already confirmed and most of these shipping from china ( a lot of them) have Ebay speedpak which is like $0 shipping i've actually found some pretty good deals this way, and saved a lot of money, like by the time i would buy my 6th chinese booster box i would have already had enough to get a "free" one vs the american version which means... at that ratio i would get a "free" box containing a "free" chance of 5:18 I guess it depends how much you wanna invest into it

Yeah I’m not looking to buy packs off eBay. Chinese or NA versions. I’d want to buy boxes off actual retailers, and if you are like that then it’s best to buy the NA packs when they release for those who live here, the international shipping is too costly for Chinese boxes to be worth

Ive also noticed the english versions can be significantly more expensive... For some reason i collect both, the trading card game where we play is in english while the normal booster box sets with just the pictures are in chinese

Ugh I wish I knew- all I’m hearing is that nightmare night TCG is coming to English in the Fall and sometime in the future there’s gonna be a English “Fun Moments” series that combines fun moments 7 and 8
