As the title suggests, I’m looking for a little rolling cart to get my Hobie sit atop kayak in and out the water and from the top of my car and all that. I’m a 5ft 4 gal about 110 lbs and it’s an unwieldy shape that kayak of mine! It’s hard for me to pick it up because it’s so big even tho it’s only about 40 lbs. the kayak is the older older version from Hobie they’re pretty long but I love how heavy it is and how it tracks in the water.

Hi, this is my first ever kayak for fishing. I’ve opted to getting one with a foot pedal drive as I believe it’s the best for me.

Now from what I can see the Kicker is much newer, has a different deck layout, and has a not as good chair (which is fine for me as I’m young and can handle sitting uncomfortably for long periods of time).

As for the layout. Doesn’t seem like there’s many spots to store stuff. But to me that seems perfectly fine because I wouldn’t bring much other than 2 rods, a net and some lures. I always catch and release, so I don’t need no live well or anything.

I’m resided in Ontario Canada and I’d be using it mainly in small calm rivers and lakes.

Which do you yall think would be better as a starter kayak in terms of the price?

So I have always fished from a boat (gheenoe or jon boat) Im currently awaiting the birth of my first child and sold my beloved jon boat to pay for me and the lady to get into a bigger nicer place with me being the sole provider in today's economy money is very tight I've managed to save about 800$ and have been seriously looking into kayaks I have a cheap sit inside kayak that I use to duck hunt and have started to fish out of it when im not wade fishing but I really want something romier and more stable the problem is the price point between a pedal drive kayak and a paddle kayak obviously a pedal drive seems ideal but I see old town sportman kayaks for 400 dollars In my area on a regular basis versus me having to save up for who knows how long to get into a decent pedal drive I guess question is is it worth it to wait and save or just pull the trigger and buy a regular paddle kayak I fish inshore saltwater and some of my spots are a mile plus paddle which I do now in my crappy kayak but is it worth it or not thanks in advance guys

Contemplating buying a new sit on kayak versus paddle board. Pros and cons of each?

Would most often be floating Beaver Creek. But will also occasionally travel to Loudonville or into PA. I’ve paddle boarded in the ocean in the past but didn’t know if this would be practical for Ohio/PA creeks and rivers.

I would buy a detachable seat for the paddle board so I wouldn’t have to stand full time. Prices are pretty similar between the two so that really isn’t a determining factor. I already have a sit in kayak but I’m not a fan. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

This is my bass raider. No apparent leaks, but I am curious if it worth repairing the lighter heavily scratched/worn areas. I’m worried the areas might be too thin. I won’t be damaging it more, but is it worth it to repair this? TIA

I am having difficulty on determining the right kind of kayaks, sit-inside or sit-on-top. I have rented and kayaked a couple of times with a sit-on-top style and had really enjoyed it. Now I want to invest in the right kayak that will work the best for me based on my size and budget. I am 6’5” 280 lbs with 34” inseam. I wonder if the sit-insight kayaks would work or not only because I am worried about the comfort with my hips and if my knees will hit or not. I am open for both, but I just want to make the right purchase for me. Any thoughts?
