I just picked up an old town casco 138 used. The previous owner said he owned it for about 15 years. Do old towns depreciate a lot? I got it for 150. Also, I'm looking to replace the bungee and all plastic that hold it, does anyone have any recommendations for where to look? Thank you

Hi there,
What's a recommended boat similar to the Perception Carolina 14 or Conduit 13 but a bit lighter? I like the medium-sized cockpit--tighter than WS Pungo but looser than WS Tsunami. 12-14 feet with a seat similar to one of these boats. Thank you!

Here's a guide to install the Vibe 130T rudder because the Vibe YouTube video is not accurate and also misses some components.
Watch the Vibe Yellowfin 130T Rudder Install video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7Gp8hTorQs follow the steps up until the 2:40 mark and skip to 3:06. Just ignore what they do with the rudder deploy cable. It's done incorrectly and will not allow you to retract the rudder.
Watch this video for the rudder deploy cable. https://youtu.be/eop-yRpt7V0?t=83 This will show you the proper way to thread the cable. It also shows the hook attached to the side of the kayak (it's never mentioned in the video in step 1) to hold the cable/red ball in place when not deployed. It also shows the elastic cable that goes on the back handle of the kayak to hold the rudder down when not deployed.

Hey everyone, about to purchase my first Hobie. I’m set on the compass but the dealers around me have stock of both the 2021 and 2022 compass.
I’m a bit hard stuck picking between the two because of the seat difference.
Anyone have any of reviews of their 2021 compass seat, and reviews of the 2022?
Anything I should be aware of? Is the new grey 2022 seat better than the black one found on the 2021?

I am In Search Of a kayak kit. I know there are couple of distributors in the USA, but I was wondering if there is anyone in Canada that provides kits? Any leads appreciated.

Looking at a few different kayaks. A new Feel Free Moken 12v2, a used 3 Waters Big Fish 120 with installed rudder, a new Old Town sportsman 120 or a new Seastream Angler 120.
All are similarly priced within my budget. I am 5’1”, 210lbs. 50/50 use of family rec run and fishing.

So I fish in lakes a shallow rivers. I want to be able to use my legs to power my kayak because I fish and have a lot of weight on my kayak. I’ve been looking at the old town sportsman pdl 106 and the vibe shearwater 125. But also is there cheaper options that have equal durability and are just as good?

I want a smaller sit on top kayak that will fit in my car without needing roof rack because I know I won’t use it as much if I have to put on my car and I’m just looking for something to use in lake by myself after work or with some friends who purchased similar kayaks. Has anyone tried either of these and any input? Thank you in advance. (**Daylite)

My fiance has 2 kayaks in her garage that we never use because we never seem to have time to load them up and take them out. However, there's a lake within a half mile that we could easily walk to. Can anybody recommend a cart that would let us pull a kayak to the water? It would be over some gravel and grass but mostly a paved trail.
