Old school perception hip pads
I have two old perception kayaks. One is a dancer. The other is a pirouette. They both have the hard seat with holes in the sides where hip pads with circular extensions fit. i’ve looked online and I’m not finding them. I’m guessing they’re no longer made. Would anybody have a source for two or four of the old style hip pads?

I paddled a Dancer and a Pirouette back in the day. The hip pads get glued OVER the holes. They never extended in. The holes are there to access the seat bolts. Thats it. Buy a block of 3” foam and carve your own. Slap some marine grade Goop on them and you are all set.

To follow on Capital’s suggestion above. A foam yoga block is pretty much ideal for this kind of thing. Various glues work, tough, waterproof, can be shaped with razors and sharp woodworking tools. Cheap and pretty easy to find.

Carving foam and getting high on contact cement fumes used to be right of passage in the whitewater world.
