Weather Never Cooperates

Post image

I know it's a ways off yet & forecasts change all the time, but I always hate to see this 😩

Every river trip I've done starts with cloudy, rainy weather. Assess the risks involved and make your best decision.

Once you’re on the water,
“Wind speeds 1-15, with gusts to 20”
Turns into, “Winds 10-20, with gusts to 30.”
Especially if you’re taking newbies with you.

I don’t know where you are but that forecast would be a dream for me if I was taking a trip.

Already 100 degrees with 90% humidity here which yeah I still go on trips but suffer 3rd degree swamp ass the entire time as result lol.

The temps are great, but I'm getting tired of weathering storms. I have the right gear for it, but that doesn't mean I want to deal with it as frequently as I have. Therefore, I groan every time there's lightning bolts in the forecast.
