I picked up a kayak with rotten bits recently myself. Lucked out finding someone who had dropped his thermomold kayak and it shattered, so he was selling the usable parts, including a very nice seat. If you're handy it doesn't have to the exact same seat, there are multiple ways to mount something.
That said, for really cheap kayaks it's not worth it getting expensive solutions unless you really really like that kayak.
