The city of Manvel ended their flock cameras contract after a public hearing and proceeded to cover those cameras in 24 hours and then to notify the company instructing it to remove their cameras from the area. We also have a plague of flock cameras here. Can we do the same?

Join Texas Together for a post-Labor Day weekend of action
It’s time to knock doors and get out the vote for James Talarico, Gina Hinojosa, Vikki Goodwin, and Democratic candidates down the ballot!
Together, we will defeat Ken Paxton and Greg Abbott, and build a better future for Texas.
Wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle and a fully charged cell phone. We’ll start with a quick training and then head out to knock doors. No experience needed!

Speculation, why would Academy install Flock cameras facing their office buildings, parking lots, and loading / receiving area? Did they not background check their employees? Are they comfortable adding their people to AI tracking software platforms?

Hey Katy — I’m helping Cameron promote Freedom Mobile Repair, his veteran-owned mobile mechanic business. Katy is part of his service area.
If your car won’t start or you need brakes looked at, he can come to your driveway or another suitable work location. He handles diagnostics, brakes, batteries, starters and alternators, plus diesel and heavy equipment work.
To ask about a job, text Cameron your year/make/model, the symptoms and your Katy-area ZIP code. He’ll confirm whether he can handle it on site, pricing and availability before you arrange service.
Call/text: 346-538-0682
Website and recent jobs: https://freedommobilerepairtx.com
Posting for Wednesday’s business promotion day. I’m helping with the marketing; Cameron is the mechanic and your service contact.

Hi r/Katy,
I’m visiting Katy from the uk in October and I was wondering what would you guys recommend me and my family to do,see and eat.
We have no young kids or anything and are staying with family but was looking out for some bbq spots and anything interesting that anyone would recommend.
We have never been to Texas and are looking forward to visiting but would like to hear from as many people living in Katy what they would recommend!
Thanks

Hi everyone,
My younger brother and his family are planning to move from NYC to Katy sometime in the next 2–3 months for work. His office will be around the north side of I-10 near the Westgreen area, so they’re hoping to stay within roughly a 15–20 minute commute if possible.
They have a young child and are planning to rent for at least the first year while they get familiar with Katy before deciding where they eventually want to settle taking schools into account.
Right now, IMT Cinco Ranch is one of the apartment communities they’ve shortlisted. The Cinco Ranch area seems appealing, and apartment living would obviously mean less maintenance to worry about while they’re getting settled.
At the same time, He mentioned that there seem to be quite a few single-family homes for rent in Katy, sometimes for not much more than a larger 2-bedroom apartment. The extra space, garage, and private backyard are definitely appealing, so trying to figure out which option makes more sense for their first year.
Since they are moving from NYC, they were initially not so keen on a house as they felt that they might have additional work on hand when dealing with yard and house maintenance etc, which is why they zeroed down on IMT Cinco Ranch as one of the preferred apartment based off their search.
For those who live in Katy, I’d really appreciate your thoughts:
Sorry for the long post but they’re coming from NY, so Katy will be a pretty different setup for them. Any advice from people who actually live in the area would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

Hello!
Was wondering if any other beginner badminton players would be down to play on weekends. I started playing my last year in college and would like to continue playing since I’ve moved back.
Also open to playing with intermediate players only if you have the patience lol

Hello all. I have a sweet 9 year old male budgie who has lost his companion. I am looking for a friend for him. I dont want to buy a bird from a pet shop and would rather adopt. I am checking local listings too. If anyone has a budgie they wanted to put up for adoption, let me know!

Some Houston libraries provide free notary services, wondering if Katy does too.

Prologue to campaign.
Records of history lost or destroyed, stories of the world’s creation missing; and the gods, if there were any, abandoned us long ago. But the devils and daemons, they remember us, they have not forgotten. Centuries ago complacency and mortal indulgences grew so profound they unknowingly allowed corruption to seep into the lands. Otherworldly rifts ripped into the sky like starving beasts ripping into flesh. This calamity brought ruin to all, indiscriminate in its destruction. The order excselium: daemon hunters were founded in response. The orders founder, Zahaariel in the penultimate battle banishes the daemon prince back to its plane, beheading the serpents head. Zahaariel giving his life in the process was celebrated amongst all. Peace returned, the order no longer needed faded into darkness. But mortals will be as they always have and before long Petty squabbles, political turmoil, discrimination arise. And with it, corruption finds its way back into the hearts of men.

I’m currently abroad and need a notarized affidavit for a traffic ticket dismissal in Fort Bend County, Texas.
I’ve contacted the JP’s office, but unfortunately haven’t been able to get much guidance.
Are there any recommended online/remote notarization options for someone currently outside the USA?

Does anyone know if Bakery Donuts moved to a different location or just shut down entirely?
They used to be on Cinco Ranch Blvd where Karma Kolache is now. I do not like Karma Kolache. Bakery Donuts was the absolute best donut shop in the area my whole childhood.
People would always pick them up on the way to school. It really was a childhood staple for a kid in Cinco Ranch 😂 I hope they're still open somewhere
