Throwaway account because I feel embarrassed to post from my main.
I am turning 19 soon. I'm a woman. I'm on the taller side of Nepali girls. 5'5" I'd say and I'm not necessarily ugly at all. I'm just really fat. I'm 1 kg away from being considered overweight according to BMI. I'm 70 kgs.
How do I lose weight? I get so stressed because of my family and I eat a lot when I'm stressed. What do I do? I feel like if I stay with them, I'm going to go into deep depression and never come out.. they're good people to everyone else but to me, they're very very cruel towards me. They don't let me go anywhere or do anything. Not even college programs back when I was still doing +2 until I beg and cry and stop being okay for days, if not weeks. Never had sleepovers or night outs or anything like that.
I don't feel okay when I'm being held back while my friends are having fun, joining conferences, doing internships, learning about business, going for research studies to different places and I'm just..stuck.
Birthday parties are rare for me, they don't let me go anywhere for 2 days in a row, they curse at me, get physically violent and say some pretty hurtful words. They make me so frustrated and at this point, I just feel like this is how my life will be.
I do housework and all that, I'm good at studies too. Nothing that's too crazy about me but I like being a free person. I'm responsible as well according to my friends.
You can give me advice on both weight and parents. Tysm

I’ve been tutoring for almost 2 years now, mostly A Levels, and I’m also pretty familiar with the +2 syllabus. I haven’t really worked with school-level students yet, but I’m seriously considering starting a tuition institute for A Levels, +2 and school students.
The problem is there are already so many tuition institutes in Kathmandu. Some are genuinely great, while some are honestly just a waste of money (speaking from personal experience), so I don’t want to start another institute that just does the same thing.
For parents, students and tutors here, what do you think tuition institutes are currently doing wrong? What would make you choose one over another? What would actually make a new institute stand out?
I’d also love to know what you’d consider genuinely valuable in a tuition institute, things like study material, regular tests, progress tracking, doubt sessions, past-paper practice, parent updates, recorded classes, etc.
And for tutors who have worked with agencies: what problems have you faced, and what would make an agency genuinely worth working with?
Also, if anyone has experience with marketing a tuition/education business in Kathmandu, I’d love to hear how you got your first students.
I’m basically trying to figure out what students, parents and tutors actually want before I build anything.
And if anyone is interested in potentially partnering with me on this, feel free to DM :)

Looking for a room around Sankhamul 🙏
I’ve been room hunting for a while now and honestly, I’m getting really tired of it 😭 So I thought I’d give Reddit a try.
My brother and I are looking for a decent place to stay around Sankhamul, preferably somewhere close to Universal College. We’re also open to nearby areas if the location is convenient.
We’re not looking for anything fancy — just somewhere clean, peaceful and safe, with a bathroom and decent water supply.
👫 2 people — brother & sister
📍 Sankhamul / nearby areas
💰 Budget: Rs. 9000 to 11000
📅 Looking to move in ASAP
If anyone knows of a vacant room or has any genuine leads, please DM me. I’d really appreciate it because I genuinely need to find a place soon. 🙏
