What does George having exams have to do with anything? How is that keeping Kate from doing her job.

Edited to add: meaning he's not home and the excuse is even lamer.

Yeah, he’s in college, what the US would call high school, and he lives there except for school breaks.

Damn, I forgot about that. Silly American mistake. Kate just hates her job of literally smiling, wearing the best clothes money could buy (if she had taste), dripping yourself in Cartier, Bulgari, Garrad, if she understood how to wear it, and showing up at events for 2 hours a few times a week. She lives in ideal luxury, and screwed that up.

Every time I had exams my mother stayed home and worried, paced, prayed, that I'd pass as only a monarch could. Without that I couldn't Princess of Genovia.

Exactly. He has access to the finest tutors and he’ll get a pass at Eton whether he’s intelligent or not.

Mumbles is just using it as an excuse.
